Stefan Schneider
Stefan Schneider b. 1961 in Düsseldorf
1987–92: Studying Fine Arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf at the class of Prof. Bernd Becher (Photography). Finished with highest degree as Meisterschüler.
1994–9: Founding member of the düsseldorfian band Kreidler.
1995: Member of the Berlin/Düsseldorf band To Rococo Rot.
1997–9: Three John Peel Sessions in London and Liverpool.
2001: Collaborational project with b&k+ architects from Köln. Production of a music for the building Kölner Brett.
2001: Two radio plays for Bayrischen Rundfunk (a remake of Walter Ruttmanns Weekend (1929) and Blue Sky, written by ourselves).
2000: Electronic solo music as mapstation.
2005: Eight-hour live set in a church for prayers and devotion.
2006: Electronic music for a baptism ceremony.
2007: Sound-installation Erweiterter Andachtsraum, in context with works of Joseph Beuys.Music for theatre plays.
2005–7: Teacher for Media Art at HfG Karlsruhe.Seminar 'Sound and photography'. Development of installations and performances.
